Student classes are a foundation of the conservatory program. Classes focusing on teaching a progression of techniques will provide the tools necessary for the student to grow beyond the confines of the classroom. The program will include classes in acting, movement, voice and production (design, theater management, and directing). One of the most unique elements of the program will be the progression from classroom technique and philosophy to direct application through connected dynamic scene study sessions.

theConservatory@VanguardRep offers classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced level students. Each level of class will further explore each technique while providing the student more access to scene work for application. Classes are open at the beginning level to any interested students interested in pursuing the performing arts. More advanced classes may require prerequisite classes or an audition.

Classes are taught by guest artists associated with the festival, providing a rare opportunity for young students to gain invaluable knowledge and experience from working professionals.
